About me....

My faith tradition is Episcopalian/Presbyterian. My passion is relationship -- with the divine, with life, with nature, with one another. No shoulding or oughting. Only being. In the Presence. In response, that calls us into the world with new life, new purpose, new meaning, each new day.

..."Does that mean that God and are one?" the seeker said.
"Not one. Not two."
"How is that possible?" the seeker asked.
"The sun and its light, the ocean and the wave, the singer and the song. Not one. Not two." (from The Rule of Benedict, Joan Chittister, O.S.B.

and so it is with God and me...the sun and its light, the ocean and the wave, the singer and the song.

Curiously, or not so curiously, I find little comfort or bonding to God in liturgy. Perhaps after a life time of the liturgy it is rote and holds little meaning. While in Ft. Collins, Colorado, this winter we went to a service for the homeless in Longmont. It was there I found church I had been yearning for – church where they are totally broken open and in pain and caring for each other without judgment, without rancor, without power and control issues. It was soul filling.
